Named after the “Empress of 16th Street” Mary Newton Foote Henderson, Newton House is a standout in the 14th St Corridor. Henderson was a driving force in the creation of Meridian Hill Park, understanding that creating green space in urban neighborhoods is essential to the success of the city. With that inspiration, Newton House is a modern build intertwined with it’s beautiful landscaping and outdoor space. It’s central location exemplifies proper urban planning with a 97 percent walkability index. In Partnership with WO Development, PTBlooms worked hard to restore the exterior of the original building to satisfy the city’s Historic Preservation guidelines, while also creating a high-quality contemporary product. Newton House’s bold exterior color scheme exhibits it’s beautiful historic design and it’s clean and modern interior provides a fresh yet warm ambiance. The 8-unit rehabilitation and new construction building was completed and sold in 2018.
